Stansberry Investor Hour Podcast

A couple weeks ago I was interviewed on the Stansberry Investor Hour Podcast.  My episode went live today and you can listen here.  They even put up a bio page with my picture, so fancy!

It was a lot of fun.  We talked about my investment process, dark stocks, low liquidity, etc.  Dove in a little bit on our old friend SIMA.

  1. I just listened to you on Stansberry and loved it. Your path is very similar to mine. I'm an electrical engineer in Detroit, studied Buffett, 3 kids. I'm going to read thru your site before I ask you any questions. RTFM. But I have many questions. Good job.

  2. Podcast was awesome dude. I have been a big fan for a while. I am also going to revisit some of your ideas. I am a deep value guy so I can wait years for a thesis to play out.

  3. I wonder how much these nano stocks have fallen due to the crash. Maybe less than the market as a whole but I could be wrong. However, the future looks rather bleak due to the spread of the virus, flight cancellations, recession fears etc.

    1. I think these little stocks are down less, or at least mine are. SP500 is down about 25% over the past few weeks. I'm down maybe 10%. But who knows what'll happen tomorrow

  4. STRI is at .15, think it is a buy here?

    1. Well now they have de-registered. Normally that's not a big problem for me. My larger concern is what covid-19 does to their $5M/month contract and european food packaging business.

  5. It seems that energy stocks totally crashed due to the conflict between Russia and Saudi Arabia, a falling oil price (which is at a 20y low) and covid-19. Many small stocks fall by 80% in the last 12 months. But no economy or high tech company can work without energy and alternative energy sources such as wind/solar/nuclear power are in my opinion not ready yet to replace oil. Have you already looked /considered this sector?

    1. I have a couple oil related stocks but no I haven't taken a serious look at it. Oil and commodities are not a place that excites me.
